The story of a photographer


JJ loves people, and her smile is infectious!


She first picked up a camera as a tween after finding a camera in her parent’s closet and went on to become a cum laude graduate of Ithaca College's Park School where she studied cinema and photography with a minor in marketing. 


JJ has photographed for NYC institutions such as the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Uncommon Schools, Hallmark and Scholastic as well as a myriad of other businesses. In editorial work, she has photographed for Jenny Yoo Bridal, BariJay Bridal, The Groomsman Suit, Rhone Apparel, and Fair Harbor Clothing.


She has photographed hundreds of events, weddings, engagements, artists’ portraits, and headshots for a range of clients including Janelle Monae, Jason Mraz, Wonderama, J. Mendel, Roma Torre, Sierra Boggess, Leo Ash Evens and Elmo. Her work has been featured on buses, buildings, banners, and media ads nationally.


When not capturing moments or traveling, JJ can be found with friends or tending to her plant children in her NYC apartment and studio on Madison Avenue. JJ also is known to throw and block punches as a competitive boxer, she has competed at Foxwoods Casino and Barclay´s Center for the finals in the Golden Gloves competition where one of her matches was covered in the Daily News. 


JJ is effervescent and enthusiastic and is always looking through her viewfinder finding the next story at home and all over the world.
